Front LSD Gear o Plate type
Plate Type
Our Plate type LSDs (Limited Slip Differentials) are crafted from "FORGED" Nickel Chromoly steel and undergo special heat treatments such as Super Sub-Zero or Cryogenic treatment. Additionally, they are subjected to processes like shot peening and WPC to bolster core and surface strength, increase wear resistance, and extend service life. The high strength material, along with the processes and treatments used, not only minimize friction and enhance fatigue strength, but also contribute to significantly reduced overall weight and internal lubrication improvement, through the use of large windows and multi holes. As a result, our LSDs offer prolonged durability(in average, they don´t require any service during the first 2.000km of special stages) and improved and stable performance.
Technical specifications:
These plated LSDs stand out as the sole product on the market featuring 16 friction plates design. In addition, they have the added value of being the lightest on the market, weighing only 5.6 kg. These features contribute to enhanced traction and consistent performance, with a stable preload value during a long time, even in endurance races.
As in all our plated LSDs, we use dual ramp bodies and our factory spec version on this application is the 35/67.5 & 35/90. Other ramp angles available upon request.
We include “free or charge” a set of ring gear / crown wheel bolts, made of high tensile steel grade 12.9, along with an extra and thicker belleville/conical washer for those who like to try with higher preload values.
As a proof of our quality and reliability, we offer 1 year of “motorsport warranty” upon material or manufacturing defects in our full range of Plate type LSDs.
Gear Type
Our Torsen or helical gears LSDs are made of “FORGED” Nickel Chromoly steel, with special heat treatments and finishings like super sub-zero, shot peening and WPC to increase surface hardness offering the ultimate strength and lasting, being the ideal option to those turbocharged engines with huge torque and power, like found in drag racing cars with over 1.000hp!
Traction capabilities and cornering speed are deeply improved with a smooth and constant distribution of power to the wheels without any pulling effect to the steering wheel unlike other LSDs.
Our in-house special high angle helical gear design increases traction and cornering speed to the extent that we surpass some of the plate type LSDs available in the market.
The maintenance and noise free features make our Torsen LSD the best option for any road and track day car, but also very effective with a low cost for any race, drag and rally car.
