Applications

This plate-type limited-slip differential is compatible with vehicles equipped with the VAG 02T (MQ200) 5 and 6 speed manual gearboxes

Design & Manufacturing

Our plate-type LSDs are manufactured from FORGED Nickel-Chromoly steel and subjected to advanced heat treatments such as Super Sub-Zero / Cryogenic treatment.

Additionally, all critical components undergo shot peening and WPC treatment, significantly improving:

• Core and surface strength
• Wear resistance
• Fatigue life

The use of high-strength forged material, combined with an optimized internal design featuring large windows and multiple oil holes, results in:

• Reduced internal friction
• Improved internal lubrication
• Lower overall weight
• Enhanced thermal stability

As a result, our LSDs deliver stable and predictable performance with exceptional durability, typically requiring no servicing during the first ~2,000 km of special stages under normal competition use.

• Stable preload values, even during long endurance races

All our plated LSDs feature dual ramp bodies.
Factory ramp configuration for this application:

• 35/65 & 40/85

Other ramp angles are available upon request.

Included Components (Free of Charge)

• Ring gear / crown wheel bolts M9x1.0 made from high-tensile steel grade 12.9
• Extra thicker Belleville / conical washer, allowing experimentation with higher preload values

Installation Notes

Bolt tightening torque: 55–60 Nm

Recommended threadlocker:

• Loctite 271 (red)
• For maximum security: Loctite 270 / 2701 (green)

Warranty

As proof of our quality and reliability, we offer a 1-year motorsport warranty covering material or manufacturing defects across our full range of plate-type LSDs.

Important Reminder Gear Oil

We recommend using gear oils with shockproof additives or friction modifiers, commonly labeled as "LS" (Limited Slip) gear oils, specifically for plate-type LSDs.

The most common SAE grade is 75W-140 LS and only with LS specifications if a plate-type LSD is installed.

⚠️ Note: it is also advisable to add gear oil directly to the LSD during installation into the gearbox. Please note that although we apply anti-rust oil during assembly at our factory, it does not provide lubrication.
