VW MQ350 (02M /02Q) gearbox Plate type LSD | Limited-slip differential

Applications:

The 02M 2WD gearbox is found on the 1998 - 2006 model VAG vehicles, including the VW Golf Mk4 / Bora, VW Polo, Seat Leon Mk1, Seat Ibiza Mk4, Audi A3 8L, Skoda Octavia and Skoda Fabia among others.

The 02Q 2WD gearbox is found on the later model VAG vehicles, including the VW Golf Mk5, VW Jetta, VW Passat B6, Audi A3 8P, Seat Leon Mk2 and Skoda Octavia Mk2 among others.

How are they made:

"Our Plate type LSDs (Limited Slip Differentials) are crafted from "FORGED" Nickel Chromoly steel and undergo special heat treatments such as Super Sub-Zero or Cryogenic treatment. Additionally, they are subjected to processes like shot peening and WPC to bolster core and surface strength, increase wear resistance, and extend service life. The high strength material, along with the processes and treatments used, not only minimize friction and enhance fatigue strength, but also contribute to significantly reduced overall weight and internal lubrication improvement, through the use of large windows and multi holes. As a result, our LSDs offer prolonged durability(in average, they don´t require any service during the first 2.000km of special stages) and improved and stable performance."

These VAG 02M (MQ350) and 02Q (DQ350) Plated LSDs stand out as the sole product on the market featuring 16 friction plates design. In addition, they have the added value of being the lightest on the market, weighing only 5.6 kg. These features contribute to enhanced traction and consistent performance, with a stable preload value during a long time, even in endurance races.

As in all our plated LSD´s, we use dual ramp bodies and our factory spec version on this application is the 35/67.5 & 35/90. Other ramp angles available upon request.

We include “free or charge” a set of ring gear / crown wheel bolts, made of high tensile steel grade 12.9, along with an extra and thicker belleville/conical washer for those who like to try with higher preload values.
