Straight-Cut (Synchromesh) Gear Set for Peugeot-Citroën BE4R Gearbox

The gear ratios and RPM drop have been carefully designed to closely match those found in top R2-spec cars, such as the Peugeot 208 R2.

To keep costs as low as possible, we developed our BE4R close-ratio gear set to be used with OE BE4R final drive ratios for two main reasons:
1️⃣ Cost Efficiency – Keeping costs as low as possible for our customers.
2️⃣ Reliability & Availability – OE BE4R final drives are reliable, affordable, easy to find, and offer a wide range of ratios (12 different options).

This flexibility allows for optimal top-speed selection, making it especially suitable for rally and hill climb racing, as well as for adapting to each customer’s specific needs and conditions.

• 1st - (34/12) 2.833 ratio
• 2nd - (32/15) 2.133 ratio
• 3rd - (29/17) 1.706 ratio
• 4th - (27/19) 1.421 ratio
• 5th - (26/21) 1.238 ratio

Material & Heat Treatment

✔ Material: Billet and forged high-strength nickel-chromium-molybdenum (Ni-Cr-Mo) alloy steel
✔ Surface Treatments: Gear grinding, sandblasting, shot peening, and Parkerizing
✔ Heat Treatments: Carburizing and cryogenic processing
✔ Hardness: HRC 56~60

This gear set must use 80W90 gear oil:

• With LS additive → For plate-type LSDs
• Without LS additive → For gear/Torsen-type LSDs or OE open differentials
