Manufacturing Process

Our Torsen (helical gear) LSDs are manufactured from FORGED Nickel-Chromoly steel and treated with advanced processes such as:

Super Sub-Zero / Cryogenic treatment

Shot peening

WPC treatment

These processes significantly increase surface hardness, fatigue strength, and overall durability, making them ideal for high-torque turbocharged engines, including drag racing applications exceeding 1,000 hp.

Our in-house high-angle helical gear design enhances traction and cornering speed, often outperforming some plate-type LSDs available on the market.

The maintenance-free and noise-free operation makes RSX Torsen LSDs an excellent choice for road cars and track-day vehicles, while remaining highly effective and cost-efficient for racing, drag, and rally applications.

Important Reminder – Gear Oil

Use OE or fully synthetic gear oil

Do NOT use LS gear oils (shockproof additives / friction modifiers), as these are only for plate-type LSDs

Pre-lubricate the LSD with gear oil during gearbox assembly

⚠️ Note: Anti-rust oil applied during factory assembly does not provide lubrication.
